EP: 37: Corona Chronicles: Creating in Quarantine with Eden Martinez

We are talking about the elephant in the room! Coronavirus! Specifically the affect that quarantine has had on creative communities and who is shifting gears and creating from a social distance. This week we are joined by Eden Martinez, a Queer Puerto Rican-American filmmaker and creator who’s imaginative films use magical realism, metaphor and satire to explore social norms. Her films have screened and garnered awards at festivals around the country and she has over seven years' experience as a producer and director for independent films, web series, commercials and branded content, working with high profile clients such as Zeiss, 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Cornell, Verizon, 92Y as well as A-list talent like Rosie Perez, John Cleese, Susan Sarandon, and Robert De Niro. Her short film Masterpiece is currently on the festival circuit. She is in development on multiple projects including the narrative feature Adela and the Wonder and is host of the podcast Corona Chronicles; which we discuss at length and use as the basis for the TOP 5 STAY AT HOME MADE creators and creative projects that you should check out!
